Sediments
Sediments are tiny minerals resembling sand. Sediment accumulation is hard to spot unless your well pump pulls in large amounts. Without treatment, sediment buildup can damage plumbing and appliances. It can also leave stains on clothing, sinks, and other fixtures. Well water tests can determine if this contaminant is present.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

Bacteria
Bacteria can enter our drinking water through a faulty septic tank or wastewater treatment system. Common bacterial strains include E.Coli and Salmonella. Bacteria in water can make you sick, causing symptoms such as cramps, nausea, and fever.
Copper
Copper arrives from our plumbing pipes. Our bodies have natural defense mechanisms for maintaining healthy levels of copper, but this doesn’t develop until after we are one year old. Therefore, copper poses a concern for newborn babies, infants, and those with a genetic copper metabolism disorder. Lead

The levels at which these minerals are present determines the hardness of your water. It can leave mineral deposits on your glassware, dry out your skin, and give a sour smell to your clothing from the buildup of soap curds.
Fluoride
Fluoride naturally occurs in surface and groundwater systems, but is also added to many drinking water systems. While fluoride is often advertised for reducing dental issues, it can damage your teeth and bones through long-term exposure and ingestion. This contaminant is tasteless and odorless, however, it’s easily detectable in a water test.
Arsenic
Arsenic is one of the more dangerous contaminants, as it is odorless and tasteless. This contaminant becomes toxic after continuous exposure. Long-term exposure has been linked to various health and skin conditions. Arsenic is common in homes that use a private well or are close to an industrial or agricultural area.
Nitrates
Nitrates may be naturally occurring ions, but they’re a health concern when it goes beyond a certain concentration. Nitrates are common in our groundwater, as it enters our water sources from fertilizers, manure storage, and septic systems. This contaminant is nearly impossible to identify without a water test, as it is odorless, tasteless, and colorless.
Bromine Test
Bromine is a chemical disinfectant. High levels in your water lead to throat and eye irritation.
Chlorine Test
Chlorine is found in most city water, as it’s used as a disinfectant during the water treatment process. However, too much chlorine in your water leads to asthma and breathing problems. There are also negative effects if chlorine is combined with other chemicals present in your water. For example, if bromine and chlorine combine, it leads to the creation of chemicals called trihalomethanes. Ingesting this through your water is linked to cancer.
Nitrates Test
Nitrates are chemicals that enter our water through runoff from septic tanks, sewers, and fertilizers. This can cause thyroid complications of infant blue baby syndrome.
Water Hardness Test
Water hardness affects your skin, hair, and can shorten the lifespan of your appliances. We can test this by adding a solution to your tap water. This solution will respond to the hardness of water through a color change. If water turns pink, then the water is hard. If water turns blue, your water is soft. Hard water can affect your skin, hair, and shorten the lifespan of your appliances.
Precipitate Test
This tests just how hard your water is! For this, we take multiple samples from your home water sources and compare it to our filtered water. We then add a solution that draws out sediment, water impurities, and particulate matter from suspension to be visible. This way you can see exactly what’s in your water sources.
Chromium Test
Chromium is a nitrate chemical deposited from steel through erosion. Health effects include allergic contact dermatitis or lung cancer.
Heavy Metals Test
We test for heavy metals including lead, mercury, cadmium, and cobalt. Heavy metals attract bacteria, further leading to liver or kidney damage.
Soap Shaker Test
Our final test is seeing how much soap is necessary for your tap water, based on the hardness or softness. Hard water requires more soap to be used, causing you to spend more money every year.
